Hans Oldenhof educated as an Art teacher has his studio in Dinxperlo, the Netherlands.
After having exploited a few shops selling printed Art he focussed on expanding possibillities for people with psychiatric disorders. Since 2019 Hans is back in the world of producing Artworks his lifelong passion.
Hans works often with a lot of combined materials in his paintings and drawings. Materials such as acrylic paint, oil paint, ink, soft pastel and graphite. Hans’ works often breath and radiate the somewhat dark and uncomfortable possibilities of life.
Overall theme is the possibility of the engineerability of live.
His early works are mainly in private collections, among them the municipality of Rotterdam. Some were sold via galleries in and around Rotterdam Hans is fascinated by the bizarre aspects of dreamable life in present, past and future. Combining emotions in mixed media is his trademark. Most works have recognisable persons or objects in it though with a tendency toward abstraction.
Hans Oldenhof’s opgeleid als kunst docent heeft zijn atelier in Dinxperlo. Na een aantal winkels in gedrukte kunst te hebben geexploiteerd en zich bezig te hebben gehouden met het ontwikkelen van kansen voor mensen met Autisme en/ of ADHD is hij sinds 2019 weer terug bij zijn levenslange passie; het maken van kunst.
Hans werkt vaak met gemengde technieken in zijn tekeningen en schilderijen. Materialen en technieken als Acryl, olieverf, inkt en overprint met pen en penseel aangebracht.
Zijn werken stralen vaak de wat donkere en oncomfortabele kant uit van het leven. Hij is gefascineerd door de bizarre aspecten van het droombare leven in heden, verleden en toekomst. Combinaties van emoties in verschillende technieken is zijn handelsmerk. Overall thema is de maakbaarheid van het leven.
